Grocery8 to Hold Grand Opening on July 28 Following Major Rebrand
Rebranded convenience store in Davao del Norte offers new amenities, co-working space, and stopover perks
SANTO TOMAS, Davao del Norte — A newly rebranded convenience store, Grocery8, will officially open its doors to the public on July 28, 2025, at Kanto-Otso Business Central, located in Block 8, Lot 2, Emily Homes, in Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte.
Formerly known as Kanto-Otso Express Store, the retail outlet is currently run by Kanto Retail Philippines and has undergone extensive renovations to improve the customer experience. The rebranding brings more than just a new name—Grocery8 now offers added amenities and services that set it apart from typical neighborhood stores.
Among the notable upgrades is the installation of a gazebo area designed for outdoor snacking, providing customers with a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy quick bites. The store also introduces a co-working space available for as low as P25 per hour, complete with Wi-Fi access, catering to remote workers, freelancers, and digital nomads in the area.
Grocery8 promises competitive pricing, marketing itself as offering the “lowest price ever” on daily essentials. The management also emphasizes enhanced customer service as a cornerstone of the rebrand.
The location is strategically positioned as a convenient stopover for travelers heading to Talaingod and nearby tourist destinations such as Uraya Resort. For those planning extended stays, overnight accommodations are also available on-site.
In response to contemporary customer demands, the company has expanded its accessibility by accepting credit cards and e-wallet purchases.
The grand opening on July 28 is expected to draw local residents, travelers, and small business owners eager to explore the upgraded facilities.
