Ken Mariscal, a former contestant for Tawag ng Tanghalan, sadly died in a hit-and-run.

Ken Mariscal, a former Tawag ng Tanghalan contender, tragically passed suddenly on Sunday at 28 in a hit-and-run incident. According to ABS-CBN News, the event happened on Cabantian Road in Davao.


Mariscal, was in an unfortunate accident when he lost his balance and fell onto the road while attempting to get off a motorcycle. Unfortunately, Mariscal was accidentally run over by a white car whose driver was passing.


At around 2:45 a.m., Mariscal and his buddy, Ruben Borgonia, stopped briefly to use the restroom. This is when the event happened. Mariscal attempted to exit the motorcycle but lost his footing and fell onto the road, where the horrible accident happened.


The 28-year-old singer was brought right away to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC), but he was declared dead when he got there. Authorities are focusing their initial inquiry into the incident on identifying the white car that was used in the hit-and-run and locating the driver.
