In an amazing 6.5-kilometer barefoot trek, devotees participating in this spiritual event aspire to imitate Jesus Christ's journey to Golgotha and perform penance. Many thousands of devout participants who are looking for comfort and a spiritual connection turn out for the procession, which is scheduled to go from Rizal Park to the Quiapo Basilica.

Police sources state that as of Saturday night, about 10,000 devotees had already gathered at the Quirino Grandstand. The event is a reflection of the devotees' profound spiritual significance regarding the Feast of the Black Nazarene.

Police Col. Jean Fajardo, a spokesman for the Philippine National Police (PNP), disclosed in a radio interview on dzBB that police had intervened during the festivities despite the fervor. In particular, a 42-year-old man was arrested on Friday morning for cracking a bomb joke inside the Quiapo Church.

To present a distinctive viewpoint on this deeply ingrained cultural and religious practice, UiS TV seeks to give comprehensive live coverage of the procession's major moments. Keep watching as UiS TV captures the moments of faith, penance, and community spirit, bringing you closer to the heart of the 2024 Translacion.
